theist 1 Report post Posted October 25, 2004 Beginning at SB 11.7.23 we start hearing the narration of the brahman avadhuta and from where he obtained his siksa. Here is one verse where he introduces his spiritual masters. O King, I have taken shelter of twenty-four gurus, who are the following: the earth, air, sky, water, fire, moon, sun, pigeon and python; the sea, moth, honeybee, elephant and honey thief; the deer, the fish, the prostitute Pingala, the kurara bird and the child; and the young girl, arrow maker, serpent, spider and wasp. My dear King, by studying their activities I have learned the science of the self. Seems Guru was appearing to him from so many angles. Blessed are those like this brahmana avadhuta with eyes to see and ears to hear.
Pankaja_Dasa 1 Report post Posted October 25, 2004 Prabhuji 1st you say that your not able to follow rules {and who is?} Then you say that Guru is already there. Do you see? Sometimes it takes a Third person to point these things out. I am such an aggogant fool so I don't mind.
theist 1 Report post Posted October 26, 2004 But when you point in several directions at once it is hard to follow. In other words what are you talking about?
Pankaja_Dasa 1 Report post Posted October 26, 2004 Never mind. I am not really bothered at all. Just making small talk. Haribol

Pankaja_Dasa 1 Report post Posted October 26, 2004 I'm still on Canto 1. I think that story is Canto 11. I think I rememeber reading it here, but cannot remember what the essence of it was.
