I have seen something else under the sun:

The race is not to the swift

or the battle to the strong,

nor does food come to the wise

or wealth to the brilliant

or favor to the learned;

but time and chance happen to them all.

Lord Jesus used Isaiah to preach with. Isaiah 9-11 is talking of the destruction of Israel, and goes like this:

 

"But the LORD has strengthened Rezin's foes against them

and has spurred their enemies on."

 

And King david sings in the ninth psalm, verse 11:

 

"Sing praises to the LORD , enthroned in Zion;

proclaim among the nations what he has done."
