Why is the perfection of 'self'-realization, the absorbtion in something else, forgetting yourself?

To be absorbed in consciousness of the Superself does not negate the small self's consciousness of one's self but fulfills it's potential.

 

From our present perspective it does appear counter intuitive.

because the self is being seeing as the body, the body is gaia, illusion and does not excists in the higher level of conciouness and dimesions. Once we devote ourselfs to krishna, we will learn that all our body is, is just chemicals and cells. Our soul uses our body to control and interact in this manifastion lord krsna created and we are curently entalglend in.
