theist 1 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Yes thinking highly of the service of others is very positive. Ultimately only Krsna Conscious philosophy is truly positive and to the highest degree. What is passing for positive thinking in the material world is really a sad state of wishful thinking. There is no need to pretend that this world of death and frustration is anything other than what it is when there is an existing eternal world full of bliss and knowledge, Vaikuntha. Material positive thinking fits the saying 'ignorance is bliss.' What is positive about thinking I am a material body undergoing birth death disease and death? Or a confused mind with no clear conception of eternal truth? Nothing. Its like positive self esteem. Who is more positive than Vaisnavas? No one. They teach that the self is actually eternal, blissful and filled with knowledge. And ever increasing on top of that. Being a part of God is hard to beat. What could be more positive than being eternaly fixed in Krsna conscious thought(rapture)?
