I am a regular chanter of the Ashtakshari Mantra,Om Namo Narayanaya.Can a person reach Vaikunta by Chanting Om Namo Narayanaya at the last hour?.Can anyone describe the journey of the soul to Vaikunta.Can anyone describe the situation in Vaikunta,its existence,its atmosphere,its eternity.Are there Vishnudutas there at Vaikunta?. (of course... the name of the lord is the lord.. if you are with the lord there's vaikunta) Can anyone describe the journey of the soul to Vaikunta (It begins in the life... matter is also spirit if we use it at the service of the lord.. so, who dies as a devotee, is already in vaikunta even if we see him in the same planet where we live) Can anyone describe the situation in Vaikunta (it is not possible, if we are not "vaikunters"... vaikunta is full of variety and is made by eternity, consciousness and bliss.. there's nothing missing) Are there Vishnudutas there at Vaikunta?. Guest guest Report post Posted October 17, 2003 Dear Yasoda Nandana Dasa Is it so easy to reach Vaikuntam just by chanting Lord's name in the last minute. Then in that case, one can live as he or she wishes by doing all sorts of things and finally after a particular age or in the last minute he can chant His name and reach Vaikunta. I dont think so. That means people like saddam hussein or Bush or hitler or nepolean can also reach vaikunta if they chant His nname when they are goinng to die. Vaikunta is eternal abode and one can reach there only if htat soul is really spiritually matured through the process of several sacrifice primarily the ego, and selfish nature. Not just by chanting His nname in last minute without any self realization. By chanting His name in last minute, probably the soul may descend down still in another body and pay for everything for all the atrocities it did in the previous body and still if keep chanting His name, and be selfless and then only it will reach the eternal abode. Please do not confuse people with wrong misconception. This makes people to do all mistakes thinking that God will forgive anything and everything. No it does not happen that way. Drona, Karna, Beeshma everybody were punished for supporting Duryodhana although they were basically good people.
