And one who listens with faith and without envy becomes free from sinful reactions and attains to the planets where the pious dwell. bhakta mark recommended reading: Bhagavad-gita CAN be read in one sitting of a few hours, start from the beginning, don't skip around and read just the VERSE'S first ( to get a ideal for what is being taught to Arjuna) the go back and read the VERSES and PURPORTS for more transcendental knowledge. I sound like a wuss i know, but this is how i felt and still do sometimes.. The verses are trancendental so they are ever fresh, you will find new things always! Hari bol! Haridham 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2003 There is nothing like the bagavat gita. If you read it, read it with a humble state of mind. Also once you have finished reading it, its not the end. Read it again a few months or days later. Everytime you read the gita you learn something more. As krsna says, as you surrender unto me I reward them accordinly.
