Govindaram 1 Report post Posted September 27, 2003 Hare Krishna Please forgive me for any offences, this is my experience with KC, so far. I don't have much time so i'll just get to it: 1. You read the Gita 2. You accept Srila Prabhupada as your guru 3. You start chanting Hare Krishna Mantra 4. You try to follow 4 regs 5. You 'fall down' a lot or 'fell down' 6. You find out about the Ritvik theory 7. You accept the Ritvik theory 8. You reject the Ritvik theory 9. You start chatting with devotees 10. You start to critisize devotees 11. You realize how ignorant you 'really' are 12. You read the Gita again and again... 13. You look for a bona-fide Guru Radhe Radhe

gHari 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2003 14. You learn to walk the talk, 15. On that walk, your Guru is revealed to you *1. And everyone lives happily ever after. Amen *1 NOTE: Sastra says that it is by the mercy of Sri Krsna that we get guru and then it is by the mercy of guru that we get Krsna. Walk, then run. Myra 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2003 Thanks so much! This is really what I am looking for. I want to be a devotee but don't know the process. I have the Gita with me and started reading it and the beads and also memorized the Chant(sometimes I chant but only one round /images/graemlins/frown.gif ). What are the 4 regulations? God Bless! bhaktachris 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2003 Hare Krsna, no meat eating,no gambling,no illicit sex,no intoxication. one must come to the platform of goodness to understand that we are not this body we are spirit soul, what is our realationship to God. as above steps in Govindaram's guide go through step 1-4 and then stop and skip to #13, if you are very sincere to find out the truth, supersoul in your heart will guide.
