Any significance of Karthika pournima?

Is there any significance of full moon of Karthika in our bhagavatham? does any one know, I am just curious... because

 

Krishna is said to have had his rasa lila in the month of Karthika and also My grandmother and my mom and several other vaishnavas in our community in India used to put like diwali candles in the houses at Karthika Pournima...

 

So, this thought just came over me, is there a significance of karthika pournima (the giant full moon of Karthika month)
