Haribol !!

i read on this site that while chanting on Tulasi japa, you can focuse on everything you want and you'll get it. My goal is not to focuse on sensual gratification but i'd like to know if it is offensive to think about spiritual goals or goals that will help us spiritually. For example, while chanting Hare Krsna can i think about me controlling my senses, or can i imagine myself in another place with new devotees friends or doing some new service: things i want in my life and related to spiritual goal. Can i imagine i find a guru, things like that and chanting to makeit happen. PLease give me your opinion. I know somechant Hare Krishna and think about, money or material goods and that it is offensive. But when it comes to spiritual goals ??

You can, and certainly you must, sincerely offer your prayers to the holy name, crying out for Nama Prabhu to bring you to a genuine guru who can reveal the mysteries of the holy name, form, qualities and pastimes of Sri Krishna to you. Keep that as your main meditation for the time being. Whatever else there may be that you require will all be accomplished through this one desire.

Certainly you must be filled with desire if you wish to succeed in nama-bhajan.
