Jahnava Nitai Das
It is unfortunate that very few archeologists (and fincancial sponsors) have interest in conducting research in India compared to other more popular and visible locations. Anyway, I am glad they are doing more research into the Sphinx. It is an interesting topic. If I get time maybe I will write something on egyptian links to Vedic culture (perhaps in the next newsletter).
shvu
I watched a program titled 'Mystery of the Sphinx' which spoke about new evidence that seems to make the Sphinx older than currently accepted. How valid is this new evidence, is something that I am checking out. For those who are interested, the program will be aired again on the Travel channel [in the US] on Aug 4 and 5. [sat & Sun]. It is presented by Heston and has views from some of the top Egyptologists like John Anthony West, etc. Cheers
