I would be interested in hearing your views about this topic and I am interested to learn more about Hindu beliefs (I am a Roman Catholic). My main reason for posting this tho is because I am looking into Cultural reasons for Piercings and I would very much like to hear thoughts on why hindu's pierce and about piercing rituals. I was intrigued to read the conversation posted on here; it reminded me about the way western feminist writers thought that muslim women were FORCED to wear the Hajib (my apologies if i spelt that wrong) and in fact the majority of women who choose to wear this garmet feel that people judge them on their merrits rather than on their gender.
