Guest guest
is the destroyer of maya. He's known as the king of yogis, and his third eye, when it opens destroys the world. However, I think that it means that when the third eye opens for yogis, it shatters the illusion of this world, and you see things the way they really are. maadhav
in the material world, creation, maitenance, and destructions keep happeining all the time. sometimes prayaya also happens. this function of destruction is carreed out by siva. per brahma samhita, just as milk and curd are same but different, vishnu and siva are same but different. Guest guest
it has a dual purpose. on the one hand it represents the constant cycle of death and rebirth, the annihiliation and recreation of life by fertility. on the other hand, perhaps a little more importantly, it is symbolic of the destruction of ones ignorance. the 3rd eye awakening destroys the sense of ego, destroys the material world. a person becomes established in God when this eye opens. there is also that connotation of kundalini arising to that 3rd eye centre, hence a person enters samadhi.
