Almost one year back, i got a dream in which i met a person with whom i never interact generally. (He is in different department in our office ) and in the dream he came to my cubical in the office, gave a file and said "Please review this file". That time when i got up in the morning i thought what stupid is that and how i will meet this guy when he is in different department and i left it there itself. Recently he got shifted to my department and couple of days back, he came to me and gave a file and said "Please review this file". This is the exact situation,location and postion and everything same which i had it in my dream almost a year back. I was litterally shocked. Now i get a feeling are we all are programmed and what we feel our decissions are actually gods. This is something these days hunts me alot. share your opinion. But nevertheless we have some amount of independence to act using our inbulit intelligence. eg. maadhav Posted July 2, 2005 Report Share Posted July 2, 2005 the nature is programmed meaning, the laws of nature are fixed. the spiritual laws are programmed, meaning they are fixed. the shape and content of our bodies are programmed/fixed. the body is made of pancha mahaa bhutaas, and has five senses or knowedge and five for action. we all have body, mind intelligence, ego, and supersoul within us. so, within this programmed creation, we still have freedom to some extent. how we used it in the past (and use it now) programs our future lives and enjoyment or suffering. still mercy of god and guru does play a part. they could override something programed. you had a choice to not make the above post, and I had a choice to not respond it. but we did it. that is our freedom of choice. did it help? Guest guest Posted July 3, 2005 Report Share Posted July 3, 2005 was this person in your dream already working there at the time you had the dream? it is possible that you noticed him adn kept his face in the back of your mind for some reason or another and it came back in your dream. his giving you a file must represent something, im not sure of. but his giving you a file a year later may have been what is called deja vu, basically a memory that goes to long term memory bank before ShortTM bank, thereby coming up twice. in the year since, have you interacted alot? if not, then one rare interaction may have been confused by your mind due to similarities with the remnants of a year old dream, there by making you possible influence the dream subconsiouly, "remembering" it in the same way as the recent interaction. im not sure, you tell me, is it possible? as for god programming our lives. this must be wrong. if god programs our lives that means he makes us do what we do. this is untrue. we have free will and we make what we make due to our own faculties. God knows all that will happen at all times all the time. therefore, he knows what course of actions we will take and the karma of these actions. but he does not tell us what to do. we chose our actions based on our knowslge, experience, and desires out of each situation Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
