Guest guest Posted June 29, 2005 Report Share Posted June 29, 2005 It is a fact that in many pujas of devi non-veg is offered as prasad perhaps a remanant of tantrik/animal sacrifices. Also Durga And Kali are worshipped to gain power particulalry during battle preparations by kshatriyas and hence animal sacrifices and prasad. Guest guest Posted June 30, 2005 Report Share Posted June 30, 2005 Kali and Durga are prominently worshiped in Bengal and Nepal. Bengalis and Nepalis eat meat, and as such offer it to Durga and Kali.
