barney
Whoever is running this forum is doing it in good intention but there are those with small minds who do not understand the core of Hindu religion speak of such. The supreme is HE who HE is and none can say for sure who HE is. Call HIM by any name and HE will answer. Be it BRAHMA, VISHNU OR SHIVA te are all one and the same but in different manifestation. If you pray to SHIVA you pray to all three and if you pray to SAKTHI you pray to the ultimate BRAHMAN who is the unseen. The one Supreme Being in many forms to satisfy the need of jivas. It is the authors of such books who had dedicated their writings to their personal God andin praising HIM have placed HIM at the highest level. If you read SHIVA puranam it would say SHIVA is the supreme while VISHNU puranam would say VISHNU is the supreme but both these authors are not wrong as they have realized God in their own aspect. You are not compled to pick either one as Hinduism gives you the liberty to chose your own liking. So, let us not argue over this petty issue and concentrate on more important things in this world. Such as peace and eradication of poverty.
