If im right, i believe atman refers to the soul whereas jiva refers to the individual life in existance.

atman is your inner spirit

jiva is you (your existance as it is)

jiva is your self

atma can be your self if it is jiv atma

atma is the supreme lord if it is param atma

jvatma (=us) is infinitesimal

paramatma (=the lord ) is infinite

supersoul god and soul in each body are qualitatively same,

but the soul is very small in power compared to god.

when this soul has desires to enjoy with the material senses, and takes birth after birth to satisfy that desires, then that soul with the bundle of desires with him is called a jiva.

hope it helps.
