Guest guest
dharma means duty, religion, feature.. sanatana means eternal... to be a good soldier, an efficient school boy, a careful father are duties... but they are not eternal because they end with the life or with the closing of a period in our life also average religions (dharma) are not sanatana, eternal... you are a hindu, a christian, a muslim, a buddhist because you are born in a nation or another, in a family or another the only duty, religion, feature who follows us through our whole eternal existence is that we are eternally servants of the Supreme Personality Of Godhead Krsna, the Supreme Personality Of Godhead, says it in the gita: "leave all other dharmas and simply surrender to me.. i will free you.. have no fear" that's sanatana dharma
Ganeshprasad
Jai Ganesh Re (the only duty, religion, feature who follows us through our whole eternal existence is that we are eternally servants of the Supreme Personality Of Godhead) To serve is to love, one can not do this artificialy, one has to realize this. theory is one thing but the practice is another, it is said that it is like walking on a double edge sword. Re (Krsna, the Supreme Personality Of Godhead, says it in the gita: "leave all other dharmas and simply surrender to me.. i will free you.. have no fear" that's sanatana dharma ) You have a simpliestic view of dharma, or else what was the use of speaking the whole of gita, bhagwan would have just asked Arjun to surrender and be done with it.Beside it was easy for Arjun to do so, the lord was in front of him, for us mortals he is so near yet so far. without knowing the self how can you surrender on to the supreme, who do you trust, who is telling the truth? Do i surrender on to the lord or do i serve the institute? Mirabai, NarsinghMehta, Tulsidas and many walked the path of the Lord and left a lasting mark in the world, they did not build any institute.I want to serve the lord and not any institute, how do i surrender on to him? Guest guest
To serve is to love, one can not do this artificialy --i agree.. thanks for your precisation You have a simpliestic view of dharma, or else what was the use of speaking the whole of gita, bhagwan would have just asked Arjun to surrender and be done with it --bhagwan has actually asked to arjuna only to surrender, he has not even asked to change an atom of arjuna's nature. The gita is the complete explanation of what such instruction, "leave all dharmas and surrender to me..." means all your explanations are very useful... but not against what i have previously said i said that sanatana dharma is surrendering, you are saying that surrendering is to be explained in details i agree completely
