whats wrong with marrying a non indian

i am just wondering what is wrong with marrying a non-indian? And why do indian parents have a hard time with this?

I would say that this is more of a cultural thing. There's a lot of factors.

 

I think Indian parents just think that it would be difficult for an Indian to be happy with a non-Indian, due

to cultural/religious differences. They think it's a lot easier to just stick with your own kind.

 

 

Indian parents also seem to care a lot about preserving cultural traditions and following the same thing for many years(even if it's not right or reasonable to today's standards). For example, there are a few Indian parents out there that still can't stand the idea of marrying out of your sub-caste. I also said in a different thread that some Indians also can't stand the idea of women divorcing and getting remarried, even when it's permissible in the Vedas. It's just that people have been practicing these things for so many years, and I guess some Indian parents just don't like change. It's all about conforming and blindly doing the same thing for as long as possible. I noticed that "caring a lot about what others think" seems to prominent in our culture.

 

I hope I don't offend anyone, but this is the type of attitude that I see in Indian parents. I think my generation is more open to change, thinking for ourselves, and doing what we personally feel is right. I think our parents care more about social status and what other Indians think more than we do.

 

 

 

But, most people on this forum say that nothing is wrong with marrying a non-Indian, as long as they adopt Vedic philosophies. But, it wouldn't be a smart choice for a Hindu to marry an orthodox non-Indian Christian.

thanks right now i am in a serious realtionship with a american who is mormon i dont know if you know the religion it is alot like hindu religion. We wish to marry each other but only my parents are in the way of this. I dont know what to do if to break the realtionship or just go ahead and do it.

inter cultural and inter religion marriage has potential to cause sever conflict in married and social life. either one or both may need to compromise cultural or religious matters.

 

tell your boy friend to give up mormanism and accept hinduism if he loves you. then you will know if he love you or mormanism.

 

it takes time to know hinduism for new generation,

and i think that you did not know it well,

so you chose a non hindu.

 

however, mormans are friendly to hindus, i know.

still they are almost like xians.

 

i wish/pray you do not give up hinduism and know it very well no matter whom you marry.

My personal experience:

 

If I knew THEN what I know TODAY, I would never have married a non-indo.

 

Or if I did, I would NOT have children. I got hit on 2 fronts cultural/social and GENETIC.

 

I will give only 2 reasons (the genetic side, there are others I won't touch....social etc)

 

1) ALL the evolved masters I have read/heard on the subject say DO NOT DO IT

(of course after I had already done it.....Common theme...Destruction of the race)

 

2) Potential Genetic problems....Cdn Dr Suzuki has addressed the subject "HYBRID-ENERGY" how the stronger genes of one parent overpowers the weaker genes of the other resulting in

Hybrid-Energy...In a nutshell, most times it's a positive .. Bigger, stronger, smarter.....etc

however there is a dark side, too many cases that have gone wrong.

( i was in a support group for parents with problem kids, the number of cases shocked me)

 

My LATE son HAD an IQ of 175 (byproduct of Hybrid energy) but he also had Over-Active Neurons ... It was a life of hell dealing with it in the later stages, started in his late teens.

 

Can you picture your son graduating from university and within months is hit with bouts of

crippling mental problems where you have a young child all over again except he has the

strength of an ox and a MAL-FUNCTIONING brain...you go out shopping, you get home

and the house is empty, he's given it all away! He goes out casually next thing you know

he's missing 2 weeks later he's found in the woods, can you picture those hellish 2 weeks?

Sorry I ‘ll cut off here I can't re-live this....I can write a book on the horror stories...

I know too many mixed couples (relatives and friends) where at least one child has a

problem. Too many cases, too many HORROR STORIES......

i will ask my about that. Cause i am a guy and i am hindu. I dont think you should ask someone to give up there reglion to marry them you could marry and be still happy in my opion

yes.

mormans can keep many wives. they always keep and grow large family. they are very family oriented. take care of each other. they keep generology family tree. they like to talk about their and other families past and present. they store a large amount of food in bunkers for the whole morman society in case war breaks or some disaster causes cutoff of food supply. their church invests in stocks and makes a lot of money. most mormans are very rich.

 

stounch xian and stounch mormon cannot get along.

xians have had mormans massacred in US.

mormans get along with hindu.
