Haribol,

I think:

Krishna Gopala Hari,

Hey Dina Dayala Hari.

"The All-attractive cowherd-boy Lord Krishna is most merciful to the most fallen souls"

Hare Krishna,

Your Servant.

Dyala hare, dyala hare

Hay prabu jeena

Dyala hare

It appears to be a bhajan (not a mantra particularly), it goes like this:

dayala hare, dayala hare

he prabhu deenadayala hare

Hare means "Oh Vishnu [who takes away one's sufferings]", prabhu means master, and deenadayala means one who is merciful to the fallen.

  • 2 weeks later...

Well since U're on a roll, let's see if I can stump U :-)

I've tried to get the lyrics/cd/rec (anything) to a Hemant Kumar's song. It's a Thumri/Folk song.

I heard him sing it in one of his shows many moons ago.

What I recall goes like this:

Nah Badai ho.. nah badai Ho..

Shaam Bairee bahsooree.

Isa meethi Taan osskee..

Hope that's enough to go on.

My local record shops are clueless, all they seem to be

genned up on are Filmi songs.

Sure appreciate your help..

Thanks

K. Singh.
