maadhav Posted January 29, 2005 Report Share Posted January 29, 2005 usueally chinese and all oriental languages are written vertically from top to bottom, and indian languages are written from left to right, where as islamic languages are written right to left (this signifies asura mentality - opposite to the suras.) yes, hindi can be written top to bottom.
