Guest guest
I was just wondering if there is any difference between what westerners call "Hinduism" and Hare Krishna worship
Guest guest
westerners generally think that hinduism is some tribal polytheism/panteism full of ignorant, violent and abusive customs hare krishnas (=gaudya vaishnava sampradaya.. present in india and bengala in this exact fashion and philosophy 'til 1500), even with some human organizational mistakes, are surely giving a much more positive image of sanatana dharma all over the world now bhagavad gita is in every town and country,,, even in islamic ones
maadhav
<< I was just wondering if there is any difference between what westerners call "Hinduism" and Hare Krishna worship >> most westerners hardly know hinduism as it is given in gita. so their opinion does count. HKs worship krishna as large number of hindus do. so no hindu would say HK's are not hindus. to hindus, HKs are vaishnavas.
