bcause it gives maximum freedom of thought and action.

it give maximum emphaisis on truth,

and that it encourages all to seek the truth and the absolutue truth.

it give all pssible paths for realizing god, technically.

the scripture are written in the most perfect language, sanskrit.

the brahmanas, and vedic scholars and saints and swamis, and teh hindus in general saved the scriptures in their minds and in their libraries, and in their actions.

there were many fighters kshatriyas who fought teh invaders.

there were many vaishyas who donated a lot to fight the invaders.

there were many yogis who blessed the country and its people and culture.

etc.

In short there was very very less scope for the economic and materila development!

the life was spent just according to the saying of vedas 'athtao brahma jijnasa' that only to know onself and the relation with the supreme person

Hari bol

marcopolo has recorded that india was the richest counry in the world.

to get wealth for doing a yajna,

king yodhisthir went (as advised by krishna) in a himalayam valley to pick up golden dishes thrown out by another king and his polulation after a feast.

that much wealthy india was once, and still it was vedic.

wealth does not kill dharma.

wealth can only spoil adharmis.

dharma brings shweta lakshmi in home and counry.

the vedic rajarshis were kings, very wealthy, and they and their population was very vedic.
