Guest guest
It angers me by the way you 'learned' people use your 'knowledge' to attack eachother, resulting in a pathetic rivalry. How can you compare two totally different individuals like Gandhiji and Sri Prabhpada? The Gitaji tells us how we are on earth to fulfil our different roles is life, and each does accordingly. Like the finger prints of evey man-each soul is individual and unique. The one who calls all Muslims 'scum' should be ashamed of yourself. Krishna teaches us to love and not judge. What gives you the right to generalise like that. It is pathetic hypocritic people like you who use our differences as a weapon. Nourish your soul with the fruits of ALL the trees around you and you will be a healthier individual. Can you not realise that every body-when dead reduces to ashes-whatever race, creed , materials that once adorned him. Use the lessons around you to love and empathise and DO NOT use Sanatama Dharma to curse or taint others. Krsna said in the Bhagawad Gita that in the Kalyug 'Nuclear Age', men will use 'religion' as a brand in a capitalist society. He was right. Nolonger does man use the goodness of all lessons aroun him as a step towards unity-but as a weapon against other. It is a shame that people like that voice these racist views. Guest guest
If you look at the big picture......yu can see the message......instead of being obsessed in proving things word for word just look at the message.. A hare krishna monk was explaining parts of the gitaji to me actually..and because he has studied the text more than i had, i gave him the benefit of doubt and took in what he said and thought about it myself. And it is true.......that is what many are doing--proving and fighting about how what they believe is bigger and better and more valid than their neighbours belief. So, rather than being smug with your 'is gita your fav. book', take a look at the message and think about it yourself. 'Wise is she who knows what she does not know'....can you get your narrow minded head around that one? /images/graemlins/wink.gif
Guest guest
Hare Krsna, exactly, we should just follow in the footsteps of prabhupada and stop WASTING OUR TIME criticising other religions...just teach love for Krsna and chanting...everything else takes care of itself... Haribol!
Guest guest
Yes I agree with not wasting time with criticizing other religions...just worry about being your own karma. If you are a truthful, honest and love-giving humble person, you will be compassionate and non-ignorant. So whatever is the name of your God, the message is the same. Think of God like a candle burning peacefully in a colourful lantern. Whatever bit of the coloured glass you are looking through, the candle is the same. So whether you are a follower of Krishna-or you have a connection with Ma, or Jesus, Or Allah.....be peaceful, share love and learn from the good lessons of everyone. We are the ignorant ones, and we should remember that no matter how 'learned' we are, we are always students. Be true to your heart, kind honest and talk to God. Don't foret he is your real ally in life for eternity. Om shanti, Jai Ma, Hare Krishnam, Ram Ram.........
Guest guest
"So whatever is the name of your God, the message is the same" - no, certain names of God are expansions that are specially formed by God out of his mercy in order to help the spiritual advancement of those at a lower consciousness. Hence the message is different...normally if their karma is meant for a higher message they will be arranged to hear the higher message... The rest of your message is perfect sense... We try and give message of Krishna, if they don't hear, then we tell them to apply it to their name of God...spiritual advancement is still acheived... Guest guest
It's great that we can share our opinions...because our hearts are humble and open. So we are open and tolerant to others' perception of how they see God and how his messages are translated in to their practical lives..I wish everybody was more willing to learn rather than use threads of religion as a WMDs!! Well you know what I mean....rather than use religion as a weapon. It's as if we're in a law court trying to argue and even kill to prove that our God is better than their God etc...I'm sure God wouldn't approve, but would rather see his children remembering than truth, love, respect, humbleness and other fruitful virtues are being practiced in daily life. Ps: ’hypocrites’ + ‘if you look at the big picture’ + ‘love truth peace’ are from me-I forgot to sign them..oops!

maadhav
<< If you are a truthful, honest and love-giving humble person, you will be ... ...non-ignorant. >> if this is the way to become a knower of the truth, then all teh investigation departmetns and research institutions woudl keep a few people likethis to find the truth. even a cow loves her calfs, and a bitch loves her puppies. no cow or bitch is the knower of truth. even the history of the hindus under islam invasions and rules disproves the quoted words. if the truth is not known, the actions or attitides based on non-truth will not be beneficial but foolish and harmful.
