Ofcourse there is in hare krishna temple same as in India too. Don't waste your time, life is short, you want even know when is over.

<< why argue? >>

because in certain situations

it is adharma to not argue or not fight.

do your karma, and chant in between,

but do not give up dharma, nor surrender to adharma.

<< Its deeply rooted I guess, we are accustommed to it, I am always right, what ever happened to Guru/sadhu/sastra? >>

one can think like "i am always right"?

but some a few are always right.

to think like "i am alwasy wrong" is very dangerous.

one cannot survive like that.

when one knows something deep in his/her bones about something, and is committed to tell the truth as he/she knows it, he/she will tell it any way, whether a guru agrees with it or not. a good guru respects truth very much and one's desire to tell the truth as he/she knows.

techinicaly, one alwasy feels one is right

(with the exception of some crooks who purposey tell lies for some mean purpose)

until one realizes one is wrong.

in the courts we have seen that some time a good guy gets punishment. that punishment has never made one to realize he/she is a criminal. the great authority - judge and the jury - failed to realize the truth, and he knows it.

those who commit to truth are very less.

most commit to their selfish narrow interests.

and truth does not mean much to them.

so KC people have a lot of work to do.
