Guest guest Report post Posted March 5, 2004 Hi guys! my name is Angelo.. myself and my girlfriend are interested in getting our names tattooed on eachother in Sanskrit... her name is Gina. I used iTranslator2003 to get the script for our names but was unsure as to whether I should have entered them with the English spelling OR with the phonetic pronunciation, which in Italian is pronounced like "Unjelo" and "Jina". If you could tell me the correct way it would be much appreciated! I'd only want to get it done in the correct Sanskrit way so thought you guys could lead me on the right path, thanks! example of what I did in ITranslator2003:

Guest guest Report post Posted March 5, 2004 I trancribed Angelo and Gina. What you wrote was a good attempt but not correct. Some combinations are not possible in Sanskrit. Between brackets I wrote an alternative spelling. In Gina in wrote a long i because it is stressed. Attaching a file is not possible at the moment, I will try later.
