vishnoor
Hi, Seeing a huge demand for "Beckham" like Tatoos, I volunteer to transcribe English names in Hindi. Please not that I am not a Sanskrit pundit so I cannot help in translating Sanskrit verses to English or vice versa. Please mail in your requests to malibu_fetish@hotmail.com I am an Indian and so be assured that your tatoos are the nearest in pronunciation. Also if you send in a request on Friday expect it on Sunday as I spend my weekends trying to build up my biceps lifting pints of "soma rasa" (beer for the uninitiated) Cheers Vishnoo Rath

Jagat
I hadn't realized that this plethora of requests stemmed from the soccer player Bekham's tattoo. When I saw a picture of him the other day, the lights went on. I was rather unhappy to see that the tattoo was misspelt. He has vhiktoria. Why they stuck that "h" in there is beyond me. That's what'll happen, though, if you're not careful...
livingentity
I did not even know who he was until I saw the news article about his mispelt tattoo. I do not follow sports at all. I did a websearch on translating names to sanskrit and found that many of these same people asking here are asking on other forums. If they want to be sure of correctness they should probably find a sanskrit teacher at a local university or visit a temple perhaps. It is a fad right now and will fade away unlike the tattoos these people will have on their bodies - some of which will be done incorrectly.
