Gena
Hello everybody! I have been practicing Yoga for many years but, unfortunately, I am completely incompetent in Sanskrit. I am studying some information at one of Yogy's web site and came across a point when I can not translate 2 very short phrases from Sanskrit. Link: http://yogalinks.narod.ru/newpage1.htm I would be REALLY thankful if someone helps me to overcome this obsticle. It should not take much time for a skilled person. Thank you in advance, Gena
Jahnava Nitai Das
The first one is "shiva upasanaa kalaapam", which is the title of some sort of book on the worship of Lord Shiva. Kalaapam refers to a song or poem thats strung together like pearls on a thread. Shiva upasanaa is the system of worshipping Lord Shiva. The second is Tamil (not Sanskrit). It reads "ammaa magamaayi", which refers to the Divine Mother (Durga or Parvathi). From the picture it looks like it is Kali.
