Dear VNN readers, please accept my dandavat pranams. All glories to Sri Guru and Gauranga! Supreme victory to our entire rupanuga Vaishnava bhagavata-guru parampara!

Following the inspirational visits by Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayan Gosvami Maharaja to England over the past three years, during his ever-increasing world tour schedule, a large community of devoted disciples and followers has grown nationwide.

The members of our worldwide Gaura-parivara in England include many, many senior disciples of Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who have understood the prime necessity for direct, pure sadhu-sanga to make progress on the path of Krishna-bhakti.

There are also many newcomers, fresh to Krishna consciousness, attracted by Srila Gurudeva's saintly qualities and the friendly, non-sectarian atmosphere found within the sanga of his numerous disciples, who are daily engaged in naga-sankirtan, extensive temple activities as well as frequent nama-hatta programs and book & prasadam distribution.

Our emphasis is on personal spiritual development in a conducive atmosphere of functional, trusting family and friendship, nurturing moods of genuine love and affection both in our sadhana-bhajan and in our dealings with one another.

Srila Gurudeva wants a cooperative group of quality disciples, avoiding any kind of "quantity" recruitment into what would inevitably become yet another dysfunctional, spiritually vacuous institution.

We have many old friends living and serving within ISKCON temples and we operate a nonintrusive, open-hearted policy of mutual respect and co-operation, encouraging harmony and respect for the beliefs and non-offensive opinions of others. We encourage this approach, but do not force rigid conformity upon any of our family members, in any respect. We uphold and respect individuality, personal preferences and any non-offensive opinions.

There is no pretense that everything is rosy and perfect - nor indeed any denial that some very neophyte devotees have behaved inappropriately in their interactions with ISKCON devotees - but there is a genuine sense of tangible spiritual progress under the pure, loving shelter and guidance of our supremely kind and merciful Guru Maharaja and an ever-increasing mood of love and trust between all devotions regardless of institutional affiliations.

We feel that the future for harmony and co-operation amongst all honest and sincere disciples and aspirants on the supremely sacred path of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's Gaudiya Vaishnava movement is very bright indeed.

We welcome all respectful visitors into the family atmosphere of our Maths.
