Is it adviceable to play / chant it in the evenings? I am also performing pooja for shivling at my home on every pradosham. Atleast on that day, is it adviceable to play it in th evening? sohamsoham Posted March 7, 2013 Report Share Posted March 7, 2013 It is said that there is a daily pradosham, besides the fortnightly one & that the time of sunset to time of sunrise is to be divided into 5(?) parts & that the first & last parts are the pradoshas.. Since MahnyAsam+ laghunyAsam+Rudram+ Chamakam takes about 1:30 hrs you might want to start the chant no later than 5 pm.
