Clarification about the pronounciation of Mantra "Om Namo Narayan"

Hello,

 

Can anyone please clarify about the mantra - "Om Namo Narayan". What is the correct pronunciation of this mantra?... "Om Namo Narayanaay" or "Om Namo Narayan". Please also explain if there is any, then what is the difference between the two mantras. Also I am a female. Is it advisable for me to chant it continuously in my mind. Someone had told me that repetition of "Om" increases heat in the body and hence it is not advisable for girls to chant it too much. Please Reply.
