Service based is a good way of describing it and one form of service is as good as any other as long it is given openly and through love. I was also led to Tantra and then to Kundalini, studying each path along the way. There is no negative or shame, it is just a path walked on the way to our awakening. I am glad you are at last making peace with your father. It took me nearly 40yrs to make peace with my birth mother and now I have I realise that forgiveness is one of the most important gifts we can give and receive.
