Hello Ms. List-

 

Many list participants tell of their guides and of receiving guidance

from the spiritual plane. I would like to ask those who experience

this in what way in your experience is this manifested? How does it

feel, look like, sound like? (I know these words deal with the

physical but mental experiences emulate this i.e. a vision is still

visual.) This to me is as important to consider, or even more

important, than the message received.

My spirit guide only speaks to me while I am awake, I have never

dreamed of her. She showed up about 7 years ago as a vision while I

was driving home from work. Since then she would show up every so

often, usually when I was " zoning " and show me things that were

upcoming (such as the death of my grandmother). Over the past 7

years she has been totally accurate. She warned me of the big car

accident I was going to have last year and told me to be sure to wear

my seatbelt. She even showed me part of the date. But the accident

was meant to happen, so I was not told the exact day. She would only

show me visions though, never speak words. Sometimes she would write

important words on a chalkboard. That is until a few months ago.

Now she speaks to me in my head and I have also met another guide

that speaks to me also. I have gotten to the point where I can

almost " zone " at will and speak to her. I have a harder time

reaching the other guide, probably because my contact with him is so

new.

 

I would love to hear about the experiences of others too!

Zappy!

I think guides are like distant, but good parents or friends.

They are helping you right now, but in order to not be bothersome

they stay in the background until you 'call'.

Tell them how much you miss them, tell them how much you'd like to

see them!

You may be suprised at how quickly they come to the foreground for a

nice visit!

Though you can't tell it by my photo (you may see some Scott or Irish

in my features, maybe), I have a wee bit of Cherokee in me.

 

With my Dad the heritage was obvious, dark skin…black hair…(he heard

a few `red-haired milk man jokes when I was born!)…

 

Anyway…

 

I have always been protected by what seemed like an outside force

since I can remember. It was most obvious from birth to high school

graduation.

 

Anyway, as I learned to go deeper into meditation (after high school)

a very strong, but loving Native American would come to me in my

visions. He never directly spoke, but I knew who he was.

Later a psychic (who knew nothing about me, my heritage or my story)

spoke of my Native American Father Figure beside me.

Very interesting. Very comforting!

The first time I experienced my guide, I was in my bed. I was not yet out of

body, I was in a meditative state. I mentally asked to know what my guides name

was. I then heard someone whisper a name. It was a woman who whispered to me. I

repeated what she said, and she responded more loudly, making sure I could hear

her since I botched it up. She said 'Diane'. I repeated this again to her to

make sure she knew I heard her. This was just a voice that seemed to be right

inside my left? ear.

The next, I wanted to see her. I asked to see her once I started to move into

OBE. I slowly raised up and out and asked to 'see' her. As I viewed ahead of me,

I saw a vast plane full of geometrics. Just before me was a blob of white. This

blob started spinning fast, it then slowed to where I could see it was a head.

It made its final turn and I saw a woman with short blond hair, looked as if she

was in her fifties. She appeared kind and wise. This was a vivid vision in the

astral, just feet from my physical.

Another time, I used correct wording, since she gives me exactly what I ask for

and that's it. I asked to communicate with her. I can not remember what we spoke

about, but I did write it all down in a log I keep. It's at the tip of my brain

and I can't remember it, darn it. This was not visual, but only audible.

And one more to add, I went on an astral journey, taking my little daughter (or

she tagged along) to a far away planet. I remember the whole journey getting

there, universe, sky, overseeing the ocean and then finally on a beautiful

beach. Diane was there at the beach with us, watching and/or guiding me. My

daughter played with 'Etuem' (ee-tea-you-mm). A child/loved one from another

life perhaps (another story). During this OBE, Diane telepathically told me, or

we could say gave me an instinct, that we needed to leave. She stood there and

smiled, no words came from her. I told my daughter it was time to go and she

gives me her typical 'not yet'. No worries, I'll just wake her up when I get

back. When she awoke next to me (the same time I did), I asked her if she had a

good time and she said she wanted to go back to the beach.

Very cool Stephen! Thanks for sharing that. I always thought I was

an oddball because my guide didn't speak out loud, but it seems a lot

of guides don't.

My guide is my True Inner Self. As I have a good visual perception, I usually

get my

messages through images when I wake up or during meditation and dreams.

Sometimes I

even think my True Inner Self helps me compose my posts (English not being my

mother

tongue).

I met this guide of mine after I had asked for in meditation. One morning a

shadow

wearing a golden sari was standing beside my bed. When I asked her name the

letters

popped up on the wall. Ever since I feel somehow confident to get the necessary

help

whenever I need it.

I am aware of the fact that I cannot take this blessing for granted, that I have

to nurture

and cultivate this relationship.

That's interesting, Bret, and similar in ways to my

first experience with my guide. I was in bed, it was

early morning (5ish) and I was about to induce an OBE.

I had been thinking about and wanting to meet my

guide for some time; I thought 'I wish I just knew

your name.' Before I could finish the thought, the

name 'Ajai' (the 'j' pronounced like the 'zh' in 'Dr.

Zhivago' and accent on the 'jai') came into my head; I

heard it in my head WHILE I was wishing to know my

guide's name.

 

Then, began my OBE-induction ritual and succeeded in

separating from my body; I found myself in the yard

near the side of our house. I looked toward the

street and saw someone up ahead of me, looking back

over her shoulder; it looked exactly like me.

Usually, I am wary of other 'people' I encounter when

OOB (even though no one has ever threatened me), but I

felt comfortable, even drawn to this person. I

floated up to her, took her right arm with my left

hand, and said 'let's fly!' We took off into the sky,

heading toward the marshes and then the Atlantic

Ocean, all of which are about 6 blocks away. At the

edge of the ocean, we paused mid-air and I took my

hand from her arm and took her hand in mine,

interlacing our fingers. It was such a wonderful

feeling of oneness and joy. I wanted to fly on over

the ocean, but she began to lead me back toward my

house, so I went with her. Then I was back in body.

 

I lay there thinking about the experience and suddenly

hit me that THAT was Ajai, my guide, who had appeared

to me and taken me flying. I just FELT it because of

the peace, the joy, the safety, and the connection I

experienced with this entity.

 

Since then, she has been with me in several OBEs, but

I never see her; she is just there, pulling me as if

to escort me to various 'places.' Once very recently,

I was OOB and wanted to fly again; I took off but

became a bit frightened as I gained altitude (a

groundless fear but one I feel nonetheless); then I

was suddenly aware that someone was behind me, holding

me as I flew. I knew it was Ajai...I was no longer

afraid...I nestled into her and we flew.

Well, following the Christian path I've experienced my

Guide to be the Holy Spirit. At times tho, Archangel

Michael made his appearance. One time I so wanted to

leave this planet so I closed my eyes and willed

myself to float away...I floated out to the end of a

very long cord and stayed there. He came and told me I

was needed back here and took me in his arms and

brought me back himself. But mostly it has been the

Spirit...guiding and teaching, disciplining and

encouraging. Love, dhyana

I receive messages in my dreams sometimes and sometimes my guide

is comunicating not by words but by feelings and I put those in

words.Before my awakening a year ago I never thought that I would

talk about guides ,my higher self and other things actually I never

knew they existed.

Sorry, Bret, I forgot to add how this manifests for me. The Holy

Spirit is experienced as a Presence. He speaks to me very clearly,

also I feel Him (or Her o both!) Just like I can feel others beyond

seeing them. I feel whatever He is transmitting to me along with the

words spoken. Sometimes the transmission is without words, yet I know

exactly what is being said. He is so much a part of me that at times I

don't experience any type of boundary, we move together. I try to be

surrendered at all times and let Him be the Wind in my sails. I love

the adventure, wouldn't want to live any other way! Love, dhyana

I am Agnostic, thus slightly skeptical of the Holy Spirit, the more I

learn about, well every thing, the more I find about Angels and

Demons(Daemons?) being true, and even god. But I can't choose a religion.

 

Anyway, what you described actually reminded me of an Astral

Projection. When you Astral Project there is a cord that connects

your physical to your spiritual body, this is what could have

happened. If not o well still cool =D.

On the religion thing, its not really that I want or need a religion,

its more I want to know how to describe myself. It's been very difficult.

Dhyana, as far as I know I haven't met my guide yet, however, I hope when I do

Well, following the Christian path I've experienced my

Guide to be the Holy Spirit. At times tho, Archangel

Michael made his appearance. One time I so wanted to

leave this planet so I closed my eyes and willed

myself to float away...I floated out to the end of a

very long cord and stayed there. He came and told me I

was needed back here and took me in his arms and

brought me back himself. But mostly it has been the

Spirit...guiding and teaching, disciplining and
