I'm curious to know if anyone has a similar experience with

kundalini...

The awakening literally felt like a serpent entering me at the

perineum and sidewiding up the spine and eventually exploding out

the crown. Felt like I was being violated but I didn't resist

because I knew what was happening.

Other serpents soon followed in a figure 8 on each side of the spine

to join the mother cobra. All are still there like periscopes atop

my head. They respond to different stimuli. Sometimes they sleep,

other times they rise up and look around with their own intelligence.

Researching this after the fact, I was led to the egyptian myth of

Uraeus Fire Serpent.

Yes Troy I have the Uraeus. I felt the connection occurring at the end

of the tailbone. It felt like massive plates were coming together,

very odd. Then like you the full spinal sweep up to the crown and out

and at the same time down the forehead ending at the brow of points.

The Uraeus. Another name for this is the " Shepards Crook. " Shook my

body severly. I thought I was literally in an earthquake for a very

brief moment. Then the lights and the sounds and the joy! Now the

Uraeus is a constant companion. - blessings Troy - c

Greetings Troy, Everyone,

Troy asked, " I'm curious to know if anyone has a similar experience

with kundalini.. "

Yes I've had that experience and have similar periscoping which is

always there..A giant Cobra sits on my head and it's by shifting

awareness to see it..I presume it is may be similar for you?

Yeeears ago I investigated, serpents in myths along with the Egyptian

history. It's pretty amazing to see how the Kundalini is represented.

From The Book of The Dead

" The goddess Wadjet comes to you in the form of the living Uraeus to

anoint your head with her flames. She rises up on the left side of

your head and she shines from the right side of your temples without

speech; she rises up on your head during each and every hour of the

day, even as she does for her father Ra, and through her the terror

which you inspire in the spirits is increased ... she will never

leave you, are of you strikes into the souls which are made perfect. "

Hi Starstuffs,

Thanks for the link. I followed it to a site with pictures of Egyptian

deities, and found that many of them have headdresses that resemble

the kind of things the K manifests when it reaches the crown: solar

disks, horns, tall pointed hats, animal heads, etc. I wonder if there

is a record of Egyptian mystic practices that might have induced these

experiences...

Hi folks,

Wow... So after the Kundalini rises it feels like the snakes stick

around? All the time, or some of the time? I was aware of the

sensations felt when it first rises... Some have described it as

almost being ripped apart. But do these sensations stay then? Do you

literally see the snakes or do you see them like some can see auras?

What were/are the lead up signs for the Kundalini first coming on

and rising up for the first time?

Thanks for the help and satisfying my curiousity!

To a degree, there are shared patterns in the way people experience

the K. However, not only is each experience unique depending on who we

are and where we stand in our spiritual development when the K rises,

but each of us is also likely to turn to her/his specific background

to borrow words, metaphors, and symbols to describe the K. For

example, the cobra imagery is particularly strong in Indian culture

where snakes are fairly common. Catholic saints from southern Europe

have used different images to describe the K--have you ever seen that

famous statue of Saint Theresa being " speared " by an angel? It's very

sensuous and powerful at the same time.

Yes, thanks for the links. Interesting that Wadjet is associated

with Isis.

Before the cobras made their appearance, I woke up from a dream

where I was told to " invoke the Goddess " . I had no idea what that

meant or who.

During meditation, I did just that. All I said was " I invoke the

Goddess " Immediately, She appeared. She had a headress and wings

and a staff and intuitively I knew she was named Isis. She did some

kind of attunement with her staff.

It changed my life. Crazy thing is, I had not studied Egyptian

mythology at all. Nor had I done anything to induce this experience

to my knowledge.

The cobras remain with me. Sometimes they sleep but rise with

emotions. I sense them and see them with my minds eye. I don't

know if others who see auras see them or not.

Sometimes during intense healing or energy sharing, the cobra will

expand and enter the crown of the person I'm with and back to me.

The snake that bites its own tail.

The sensations vary. I often feel the body of the snake in my

spine. It expands with the breath and often makes serpentine

movements.

When K finally came on in full glory, I was overcome with a sensual

thick energy. It started at my tailbone and it literally felt like

a penetration (wasn't used to that at all!) of the perienium and

upward in the spinal canal to the crown.

This isn't something I talk about often. Thanks for asking/listening.

Its really more like how Selena described it. Yes I remember seeing the snakes

and they are sometimes part of the process but not all of the time. I seem to

have had both the light, the filled from within spine and the snakes. But also

cricket sounds and movement of objects and entity visitations and much more. Its

only phenomena, no worries.

The sensations will stay but not the visuals at least that is how it has been

for me. I can now choose to look at the phenomena or not. I can have this

Kundalini and hold a job and be a great uncle, and live a super normal life in a

normal fashion. So can anyone. So no worries about the phenomena . I have

noticed here, on this group, that you get it a little at a time which is exactly

the way you should have it imho. Not being overwhelmed is a good thing.

No you are not constantly surrounded by snakes. In my experience it comes

often in the dreams or sometimes during the waking hours but it is also

accompanied by changes in the perception of what it is you are experiencing. You

are given the tools of understanding and the awareness of what is the best way

to process the experience it isn't just about the visual aspect. It is the

feelings, the intuition, the knowledge that comes streaming into your

consciousness. These factors must be included. They change everything about how

the experience is processed.

The snakes and the lights and the sounds and the tremendous love and joy, the

bliss the knowledge the oneness with creation. These are not for five sense

minds to try and grapple or figure out. There is no figuring. It is an

experience that must be witnessed and experienced first hand before you can

really understand. This is why we are here in this group to help a person know

what to expect but not to supplant the experience.

Yes there are signposts and yes there are similar phenomena. Yes there are

those who have the experience inside the similarities and those who have a

different experience inside the same similarities. So we can be of service and

help and guide those away from fear.

There is MUCH phenomena. But it is there for you to learn from and for you to

enjoy. So like Lisa is correctly doing - she is NOW learning to overcome her

fear of snakes. She is taking this opportunity to dissolve her fear issues

about this and to the extent that she does will her experience be blessed.

Whether snakes show up or not.

Kundalini is a very strong and powerful path there is no getting around that.

It will change you. In ways far beyond your present expectations. With these

changes will come challenges. With these challenges will come accomplishments.

Yes, very odd indeed. The shepards crook is interesting. Something of

Sel, yes, each experience is personal and unique. My background is

Christian so I was quite transformed by the Egyptian symbology.

So true, chrism!

I didn't miss a beat with work and family. I may have been acting a

little strange but that's normal, lol.

Transformed but grounded. No fear, only love.

Yes, every night I have numerous metaphors and symbols in my dreams. I

seem to have symbols and words from various spiritual traditions and

cultures. Images symbols and rituals that I was not aware that existed

before. In a few dreams or OOB,I have had the eye -very similar to the

Alex Grey video- open on top of each foot and both palms of the

hands. When they opened I could see everything very very clearly.

Just the other day I had a dream of five black snakes slithering

between my feet. Very ealrly on in the process I had to confront my

fear of spiders and various other insects and animals.

One interesting phenomenon that just occurred was that my husband said

he had a dream that he saw three of me in the room and that he was

wearing a yellow tie. He stated he had no idea what this was about. He

does not wear a tie and knows nothing about the K or my awakening. Or

does he??? hmmmm...

Interesting, I'm surprised to see that link! ... there are MANY

good things to be found at that site, the Chymical Wedding

commentaries as well as the Qabalah Library in particular. It

contains some bits of information I've never found referenced anywhere

else. Which - for me - is saying something :-)

Hi snakey friends,

I had a dream once where Shakti appeared to me as a

luminous futuristic train, double deckered and breathe

taking in beauty.

I was on the earth, standing in a field, I had just

got off an old ricketty train and was chatting to a

man, I looked up and on the landscape in front of me

this majestic train began passing, I knew by the

electric blue colour it was kundalini.

It was a wonderful dream, hop on board .... The shakti

express.
