But to end the story here is to buy into an impoverished philosophy. We do not become " no one " - as in the neo-advaita speak that blathers on about " no one to experience the enlightenment " . That ivory tower impoverished view topples as soon as they speak or write. Awakening to Oneness is a beautiful episode in life, but the story, for those so graced, does not end there. The Oneness realization is stage one...and.. beyond the realization of Oneness is Stage Two: Enlightenment. Here, instead of there being no one to experience our Oneness, there is an Enlightened One with an entirely new identity. Yes, the individual personality as we once knew is " gone " or more precisely, relegated to a secondary, reflective identity (which it always was, but now we realize it) and our " new " primary identity as Awakened AND Enlightened Consciousness experiences Oneness - within the very form of God: Love. (One of my favorite Ramana expressions.) We " experience " bliss, freedom from fear and doubt, an unassailable certainly of who we are: loved, love and lover all in One.
