Thanks so much for the kind words, everybody! Now that I'm not rushing

out the door, I wanted to add that Leaping Bunny just means no animal

testing (not vegetarian/vegan). But one of the nice things about

leapingbunny.org is, the way I understand it, in the U.S. products can

be sold as cruelty-free if the company itself doesn't engage in cruel

practices, but buys ingredients from companies that do. The Leaping

Bunny certification means that no ingredients--from any source, at any

point--have been tested on animals. Sorry if I confused anyone.

Peace,

Mo

Isn't the phrase " cruelty free " a PETA-owned name? " Not tested on animals "

or " No animal testing " is usually what is on the product itself. For

example, some Clairol products (Herbal Essences) say " Not tested on animals "

-- which actually means that that particular product is not, but Clairol's

parent company DOES engage in animal testing. The " cruelty free " phrase with

PETA's little bunny is a trademark, I believe, and can only be used if the

company (not just the individual product) is approved by PETA.
