You can find it in an Asian market but mostly Chinese markets will carry it. 

It's a browned sheet of sugar kind of a candy, used in a few of the Chinese

sweet desserts.

If you guys are in Kansas City, I know I've spoke of Blue Koi before. I had

lettuce veggie wraps, veggie dumplings, and Sesame balls. I found the recipe for

Sesame balls. I have no idea what Peen tong is.

I'm not sure if I'd even attempt to make them,cause I can visualize the mess.

Sweetened red bean paste is the filling? To me,the filing resembled choclate or

carob.
