new fruit to me - red pummelo?

I saw these at the grocery store today and asked the lady next to me (who

was filling a huge bag with them) what they were like, and she said they

were sweeter than a grapefruit. I couldn't get over the sweet smell -- I

could smell it even through the peel. Yummy, too!

I don't think they taste any sweeter and the skin is 2 inches thick so they can

get expensive.

Do you get good sweet red grapefruits?

I don't like grapefruit. This one I had was much sweeter than any

grapefruit. The skin is thick, that's true. My grocery store had them on

sale for $2 -- and without the skin, it was about the size of 3 oranges, so

the sale price wasn't too awful. Just a once-in-while thing.

I love the red grapefruit, and I peel them and eat them like an orange!!
