Hello, newbie here

I am very excited to be accepted into this group! I am brand new to being

a Lacto Ova Vegetarian during the week....I know, I still am weaning into

it, so weekends are a free for all for me, but be assured, my husband made

me a hamburger Sunday and I fed it to the dog. Bleck. I am already not

liking beef!

Bacon will be my weakness, especially when it comes to tomato season

(blts). I will figure it out.

 

I recently saw a video online from Jamie Oliver challenging America to

give up meat during the week. I tried to be totally vegetarian once and

failed, craving meat more than I ever even liked it. So here I am..weekday

ova. A beginner who on the last two Saturdays, forgot to eat meat, mostly

because I know I can have it, so I don't' feel I have to. .

 

Looking forward to some great recipes and ideas from everyone!

Welcome and THIS IS THE GOOD NEWS! Morningstar Farm makes a fake bacon that

tastes very much like the real thing. BLT's are one of my favorites also...and

I make them all the time...and am very happy with them.

Ditto on Morningstar Farms bacon -- I love it. I very rarely ate bacon even

when I did eat meat, but fake bacon doesn't have any of that nasty grease

and fat, just crispy and salty and perfect!
