Also spelled epazote. It grows where it's warm, I doubt you will have much luck

with it if you can even find it. I use a few fresh leav es when I make beans.

I can't imagibe black beans without it.

The dried is no where near the same as the fresh leaves. It cuts down on gas in

the beans. So does a chunk of kombu so I use this also if I don't have any

epasote leaves available.
