Guest guest Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 If my mother could see the way I am eating now, she would faint dead away again. Though I still can't eat canned slim spinach, I would still be sitting at the table way after dark all along staring at cold slim. I really don't remember eating many fresh veggies as a kid, it was all canned, peas, green beans, carrots, spinach and such. Now I do all fresh or frozen, no canned. Karo Quote
Guest guest Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 I can eat green bell peppers in sauteed Chinese vegetables, but that's about it. They are overpowering. I thought for years that I hated green beans, but figured out I like fresh, barely-cooked ones. I should get some and steam them! I forgot about my little steamer I bought, haven't tried it yet! Guest guest Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 funny how we all have different tastes with some things. i don't like beans unless they are cooked tender, lol. funny i am not rebeling as my mother cooked all veggies to mush until she got wise when i was a teenager. now i love carrots cooked in the microwave to tender, but I detest canned or frozen carrots, they must be fresh, and I do not like those baby carrots. hey, that is the only veggie i am not crazy about, the baby carrots, but i could eat them ok, just so long as they are fresh. blessings, chanda Quote
Guest guest Posted May 11, 2009 Report Posted May 11, 2009 ro, I think that is exactly why so many people say they don't like veggies, they are thinking of the plain bland canned ones! yuk! lol --- Quote
