Jicama and Yucca

I know Yucatacans, Cubans, Costa Ricans, etc. Eat yucca, I have not seen it on

the menu in Mexican restaurants.

I like both of them.

I personally think of the yuca as the mexican potato. When I was in costa rica

we ate fried yuka sticks at every meal. They were dipped in mayo instead of

ketchup. The locals would look at you funny if you ate ketchup, lol.

Cut it into matchsticks, toss with chile powder and lime and add to

your saladfs. This is how I eat it.

I call it the Mexican potato.

I often shared dinner at the table with Nicas...always fried yucca;

wonderful!
