Guest guest Report post Posted September 23, 2008 I cut okra in rounds and steam for about 3 mins them I add to my salads or I will toss into my bowl of soup. I don't like it mushy. I grew up on mushy over cooked veggies. Every green veggie looked and tasted the same after my Mom boiled it for 1/2 hour.
