Guest guest
Hi, Pam, I don't miss most meat, but I confess that I still love bacon. I haven't had it in hmmmm, maybe 3 years,... and, no, fake stuff isn't the same. I just try to remember why I want to be veg. No one 's forcing me, I could go out and get some bacon. But I would feel bad if I did! Supposedly, most cravings will pass...maybe make a really good veggie burger, I mean good. with pickles, cheese, let tuce, tomato,, everything...and see if this quiets the cravings? Some people may disagree with me here, but I think that having a real hamburger once a year is way better than eating meat all the time, if that's all it takes to keep you on track! By the way, I think Amy's burgers are the closest to meat, if you put all the fixings on them. Good luck melissa p , " mannerist12 " <mannerist12 wrote: > > Hi, > > My name's Pam and I love the idea of this group! I'm new here but > have been an on-off vegetarian for about 5 years. Guest guest
I meant to add that if you can't find Loma Linda and Worthington products at your local Grocery Store or Health Food Store, just look for and www.adventistbookcenter.com in your area. They have a huge selection. It isn't listed on their website, because they don't ship it, I guess, but they have a large selection of canned, dried and frozen Vegetarian products. Campmeeting is coming up for many of the Seventh Day Adventist Conferences in May and June. They will have extra special Sales during this time. I usually stock up for the entire year during this time, because the sales are so great. Blessings, Judy
