Guest guest
Good idea, Marie. Yes, I have made some resolutions pertaining to health this year. First off, I've decided to eat more and more raw foods. I've always disliked leafy salads (although chopped up vegetables that sometimes go into salads, dressed as a salad, I've always enjoyed). This last year I started to add more and more uncooked leafy greens (and more cooked ones too) into my meals, with the result that I really miss it if I don't get them. I love my salads now, the more variety of leaves in them (along with other things) the better. NOW, for 2008 I plan to eat more raw foods in general. I already eat a lot of fruit (not other kinds of dessert except once in a long while), but it's the veggies. And of course, I'd like to start sprouting grains etc. and see what I can make with those. Also, a small thing, I tried my first 'green' smoothie this morning. I just threw some lovely romaine in with the fruit and water instead of soymilk, gave it a whirl and there it was, beautifully fresh and clean and delightfully tasting of a summer garden. There are lots of recipes kicking around these groups, so I'm going to make a collection of them and start trying them. Sooooooo healthy and so refreshing! My other resolutions don't pertain to eating, health or weightloss. Oh but wait, one of them does. I have promised myself to spend more time on my yoga - it does me so much good that I think why not devote more time to what makes me feel fit, relaxed and happy! Okay, over to you guys. Any resolutions? You know I used to say I wouldn't make them because as soon as they're made they're broken. But Marie's right - keep them modest and attainable - then I think they have a hope of lasting the month out at least If not, then I'll make them again just before the Chinese New Year!!!
