8TH Continent Soymilk vs Silk Soymilk

I just Googled 8th Continent, found their website,

http://www.8thcontinent.com and clicked on their products to read the

ingredients. Nowhere does it say that it contains lanolin. However,

it does contain Natural and Artificial flavor, plus Sugar, Fructose,

a couple of phosphate ingredients, Xantham Gum, Sucralose....geesh,

how much sugar do you need to add?

Also, 8th Continent is made from Solae protein. Check out this

website: http://www.solae.com. This company is an alliance between

DuPont and Bunge Limited. I will step out on a limb and say they most

likely use GM soy.

On the other hand Silk is made with Organic soybeans, organic

evaporated cane juice, sea salt, etc. http:www.silkissoy.com

Check out their FAQ section for information on the production of

their products. Yes, they do share dairy equipment.

The internet is a great tool for finding out the facts. I did all

this research in 5 minutes.

Vitasoy is another brand that uses Organic soybeans.

I hope this information is useful for those still finding their

favorite Soymilk (including myself). I think the next time I buy

Soymilk, I'll try to Vitasoy.

cheers,

Denise
