Guest guest
Just a thought – do McDonald’s and Burger King have separate grills for cooking the vegetable burgers or are they just slapping them over the fat from the me*t patties? Lisa jackshome7 [www.bookcrossing.com] Monday, January 12, 2004 4:21 AM Another McD's querk.... Again, I don't know if it's just in the UK which this is a problem, but in Norwich (UK) our 'friendly' fast food place doesn't offer a child veggie option, on asking for a childs veggie meal, they suggest you buy an adults meal. I only buy McD's or other such 'junk' when I'm pressed for time or such, and have also found they charge more for the veggie meals than any other meal! (And they never appear on the offer board!) Guest guest
Unfortunately, they do just slap it onto the same grill. Hence making sure to ask for it microwaved. This has also been a problem for me at D'Angelo's, although I don't know if they've changed their policy of late. The one fast food place that seems to be decent about this is Subway. I've noticed that they have a " veggie knife " set aside for cutting veggie subs, so there's no cross-contamination w/ the deli subs. Also, if you ask the sandwich maker to put on fresh gloves (if they've just been handling meat) I've found they usually will. (as long as you ask nicely, of course!) , " l. a l j u w a i e " <aljuwaie@c...> wrote: > Just a thought – do McDonald's and Burger King have separate grills for > cooking the vegetable burgers or are they just slapping them over the > fat from the me*t patties? > > > > > > Lisa > > > > > jackshome7 [www.bookcrossing.com@n...] > Monday, January 12, 2004 4:21 AM > > Another McD's querk.... > > > > Again, I don't know if it's just in the UK which this is a problem, > but in Norwich (UK) our 'friendly' fast food place doesn't offer a > child veggie option, on asking for a childs veggie meal, they suggest > you buy an adults meal. I have never seen them do this at Subway, but am glad to hear about it!!!!! I would think now with this mad cow scare, they should be more prudent about such things.
