Guest guest Posted November 19, 2002 Report Share Posted November 19, 2002 A Pilgrim's Lentil Pottage Source: www.hugs.org 2 tsp. olive oil 2 cloves garlic; finely chopped 1 medium onion, chopped 8 cups cold water 1 1/2 cups lentils; rinsed in cold water and drained 3 Tbsp. ketchup 1/8 tsp. ground cloves 1 1/2 tsp. salt Soften vegetables in oil in soup pot. Add water, lentils, ketchup, cloves and salt; bring to a boil. Reduce to low, cover and cook until lentils are tender, about 45 minutes, adding more water if needed. Season.
