Guest guest Report post Posted August 23, 2001 Zucchini Sticks Source: Benton Sisters Vol. 1 (they are called fish sticks.) 1 C. soaked raw garbanzos 3/4 C. water 2 Tbsp. mcKays chicken seasoning 1/2 tsp. onion powder 1/2tsp. garlic, crushed 1 tsp. butter flavoring 1/4 c. potato buds 1/3 c. cashews raw 1 tsp. seasam seeds raw 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. vege-sal 2 C. bread crumbs ( make them gluten free) 1/2 c. ground walnuts 4 to 5 small zucchini cut into spears, quartered and peeled Blend first 11 ingredients till smooth. Dip zucchini in blended mixture; roll in bread crumbs and ground walnuts. bake at 375 til crispy and golden. MY QUESTIONS: I made these today. They were very good, but did not turn out as I thought they would. First what is Vege-sal? I did not have any, I just used vege-x. second, I had a hard time keeping the batter on.
