Guest guest
One of my close friends has a 13-year-old daughter who once, in passing, mentioned that she would like to go vegetarian. Her Dad, my friend, quickly said that was out of the question. Is there perhaps a book or something that might be a good stealth introduction to vegetarianism that would be seen as cool to a " tween " (am I using this new term properly? - LOL) yet fly under her Dad's radar? If not, that's cool; I don't want to step on any parenting toes. Just curious. Thanks, -Erin
Guest guest
This won't fly under the radar, but " The Vegetarian Manifesto " is geared directly to teens. You can buy it at Chapters/Indigo online for $3.99 reduced from $17.99: http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/item.asp?Item=978076241887 & Catalog=Books & N=44+5283\ 42 & Lang=en & Section=bargainbooks & zxac=1 Cathrine , " cronzen " <truepatriot@m...> wrote: > > One of my close friends has a 13-year-old daughter who once, in passing, > mentioned that she would like to go vegetarian. Guest guest
Thank you to those who responded with book ideas for this gift. I just thought of another sly idea to inspire and educate a teen to both vegetarianism and investing. How about a single share of GardenBurger stock? Too expensive for my particular case, but for a parent to a child or grandchild, sure.
