Guest guest
Kristi: I simply soak Adzuki beans (FYI, they are on sale until 6/28 at www.madisonmarket.com for $1.19lb.!) and then eat them raw and put the uneaten ones in the fridge. Usually I make some fresh nut butter in my Magic Bullet and combine them because the Adzuki beans alone are not all that tasty. Friends have told me they sprout them. I would they could be put on salads as well. Years ago an Ayurvedic doctor recommended I try Mung beans instead which I did. Even though their nutritional chart is better than Adzuki beans I found myself to do better on the Adzuki beans. I have tried soaking and eating raw many other types of beans with no problem. Beans will NOT cause gas IF: 1. They are soaked properly 2. They are chewed AND salivated properly 3. Digestive enzymes are taken if need be. People try to make sugar, fat, carbs, etc the enemy. The issue is as long as Adonai made sugars (dates, honey, figs) are consumed within moderation they are healthy. Same with fats and carbs. Yes, bad sugars, fats, carbs are a MAJOR issue but one shouldn't throw out the baby with the bathwater! I notice I look healthier when I consume organic avocado's and other healthy fats such as from Manitoba Harvest brand organic shelled hemp seed. They healthiest I look though is when I drink fresh made organic vegetable juice made in a twin-gear juicer and/or eat sprouts. As King Solomon (known as the wisest non-perfect human being who ever lived said) " Take a warning: To the making of many books there is no end and much devotion to them is wearisome to the flesh. " Ecclesiastes 12:11. The inspired word of Adonai never changes. Kristi I applaud your efforts! I encourage you to keep doing the best you can! As the saying goes, " I'm not what I want to be...but I sure am better than I was! "
